"The Essence of Sculpture"

Lois Fasching

Lois Fasching

Lois Fasching, born in 1957, is a master sculptor and independent artist based in Dölsach, East Tyrol, where he maintains his studio. Trained at the Elbigenalp School of Sculpture, he works with wood, stone, bronze, hay, and metal, employing a distinctive technique of his own.
His artistic practice revolves around great stories and historical themes, ranging from “Art Schwedenreiter” and the cycles “Tyrol 1369” and Henry VIII to a portrait series created for the Messner Mountain Museum. In 2022, his work “Global 500” reflected on Magellan’s first circumnavigation of the globe and was exhibited from Merano to Barcelona.
In addition, his fountains, Stations of the Cross, and altars have made a lasting contribution to public and sacred spaces.
